What makes
SAME
so great?

The life expectancy of cats and dogs is increasing thanks to improved veterinary care and nutrition. Because our pets tend to live longer, behavioral changes due to aging are becoming a major challenge.

SAMe is reducing the intensity of these behavioral changes and in some cases, SAMe is even restoring the animal’s normal behavior.

62% of dogs aged between 11 and 16 years suffer from Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome.

It is when you notice at least one the following 5 behavioral changes, and when they’re not caused by physical impairment:

Disorientation/Confusion

Sleep cycle disturbance

Activity level decrease

Loss of cleanliness habits

Cognitive dysfunction

S-adenosyl methionine (SAMe) is a naturally occurring compound found in the body. It maintains cell membranes, helps produce and break down brain chemicals such as serotonin, melatonin, and dopamine, and participates in the overall well-being and immune system of cats and dogs.

SAMe is a molecule present in almost all the tissues and fluids of a living organism and is involved in many biochemical processes.

As your pet becomes a senior pet, the organs fail to produce SAMe in sufficient quantities. Giving SAMe as a nutritional supplement will rebalance that deficiency and help your pet live a happier and healthier senior life.

Commonly, you will start seeing behavioral and health improvements after 15 days of taking SAMe. The recommended daily dosage is 90 mg for a body weight up to 12 lbs and 225 mg for a body weight between 13 lbs and 39 lbs. For large and extra-large dogs, 2 to 3 tablets of 225 mg a day are recommended.

The Colon
Loves Fiber!

Fiber is a type of carbohydrate that helps with digestion and gut health. Fiber can aid with both diarrhea and constipation. A convenient way to increase fiber intake is to use a nutritional supplement.

Most cats and dogs get their necessary fiber from their diets. But pets with digestive problems like diarrhea or constipation may need more fiber than fiber-rich foods can provide.

There are lots of dogs with gastrointestinal problems or anal gland issues and lots of puppies with chronic diarrhea and they may benefit from fiber supplementation.

Plantago Ovata is a plant native to the Mediterranean region and naturalized in America. It is the most popular source of Psyllium, a dietary fiber used to reduce the symptoms of both constipation and mild diarrhea.

Psyllium doesn't get absorbed by the small intestine like most other nutrients, it gets instead fermented in the large intestine and absorbs excess water while stimulating normal bowel elimination.

It helps relieve constipation, diarrhea, and loose stools, and is important for maintaining regular bowel movements and good general digestive health.

Studies show that hairballs in the cat's stomach can be removed naturally with the aid of a fiber supplements such as FiberSyl (OvataSyl). Psyllium Seed Husks promote a healthy bowel function.

The Ultimate
Liver
Rejuvenation

The SilymarinAdvanced project took a long time to prepare and design, together with nutritional specialists and veterinarians and a lot of thinking “outside the box”. We went through many trial manufacturing cycles and formula adjustments to finally being able to create a stabilized SAMe & Silybin tablet that did not require an outer coating.

Coatings are often used to embellish a tablet, hiding the natural color of the ingredients. Tablet coatings are generally made with dyes and chemicals. We, at MedsMeHappy, feel that dyes and extra chemicals should be avoided, especially in treatments that are meant to protect and to heal vital organs such as the liver.

The SilymarinAdvanced tablet is uncoated, contains no harmful chemicals and its formulation allows it to preserve 100% of its ingredients’ bioavailability, throughout its shelf life. SilymarinAdvanced is an exceptional liver support tablet.

Because we care about Your Pet’s Health, we created the most affordable SAMe & Silybin Liver Treatment. Starting at less than 56¢ per tablet/per day.

Maintaining a healthy liver is a crucial factor for the overall health and well-being of life of cats and dogs. It is a vital and complex organ of their body and it becomes sensible to many adverse effects of drugs, chemicals, infectious agents and to autoimmune diseases or reactive hepatitis.

Any problem that affects the liver is liver disease.

The liver’s functions include the regulation of digestion and metabolism, the synthesis of hormones and proteins, immune response and filtering of toxins from the blood stream.

The most encountered liver diseases in cats and dogs are: hepatic lipidosis, cholangiohepatitis, portosystemic shunt, cholelithiasis, choledocholithiasis, cholecystitis, pneumobilia, hepatic neoplasia.

Frequent symptoms of liver diseases include jaundice, hepatic encephalopathy, gastrointestinal disorders, depression, weight loss, neurological symptoms and other nonspecific signs such as polyuria/polydipsia.

Milk thistle or Silybum marianum is a plant that has been used in traditional medicine since antiquity, primarily to treat liver dysfunction. Traditional milk thistle extract consists of Silymarin (a flavonolignan complex) and fatty acids, including linoleic acid.

Silymarin is a complex mixture of polyphenolic molecules, including seven closely related flavonolignans such as Silybin A and Silybin B.

Alternative medicine practitioners attribute the liver-protective effect to anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic flavonoids contained in Silymarin. Toxicity in your dog’s or your cat’s liver can be caused by chemicals (insecticides, pesticides, etc.), use of medications (phenobarbital, corticosteroids, acetaminophen, chemotherapy, etc.) or poisoning.

When the liver is harmed and inflamed, Silymarin is known to help reduce the illness and inflammation.
